چکیده

This paper presents an agent-based model to analyze tow-away policy in a local community. We will focus on such a situation that (1) Outsiders of a local community make illegal parking in the residential area; (2) The habitants of the community must develop their tow-away policy; (3) They can form a policy group to stress both the outsiders and the local government; and (4) The local government will support them if the policy group become larger. The interesting point is that the tow-away policy is not an absolute but an emergent one. Under the assumptions, we investigate what kind of conditions will reduce the illegal parking. Intelligent multi-agent modeling of the interbank network and evaluation of the impact of regulatory policies

agent-based modeling is an emerging computational technique that makes it possible to simulate complex economic systems, including the banking network, with a bottom-up approach. In this paper, the country's banking network is simulated with an intelligent multi-agent modeling model and indicates that these agents behave based on the adaptive learning. This modeling has been done with the aim o...

A Hybrid Agent-Based Model for Estimating Residential Water Demand

The global effort toward sustainable development has initiated a transition in water management. Water utility companies use water-pricing policies as an instrument for controlling residential water demand. To support policy makers in their decisions, the authors have developed DAWN, a hybrid model for evaluating water-pricing policies. DAWN integrates an agent-based social model for the consum...

Adaptation and Sustainability in a Small Arctic Community: Results of an Agent-Based Simulation Model

Climate warming and resource development could alter key Arctic ecosystem functions that support fish and wildlife resources harvested by local indigenous communities. A different set of global forces—government policies and tourism markets—increasingly directs local cash economies that communities use to support subsistence activities. Agent-based computational models (ABMs) contribute to an i...
